"Dr. Utkarsh Maheshwari is dedicated, hardworking, friendly, and an honest person. I have met him first, as my teacher for Petroleum Reservoir Engineering subject in 2012, during my master course in BITS Pilani, Rajasthan. I had a first impression of him as a strict teacher but, soon I realize that he is kind and friendly. I would like to share one incident lightening his honesty towards his obligations, he caught red handed us to copy our assignments and our class got lowest grades in that exam. In this way, by the time, he played many roles according to the situation, like a teacher, friend and sometimes even a parent. Moreover, the unique thing is that he does not hesitate to give credit to others, and sometimes you get more than what you deserve. The importance of those payless loans will be understood only when you get their benefits in need. I still remind his words to me; BITS gives you the confidence to speak louder and confidently. In such a way, many small but important things can be learned while working with Utkarsh sir. He brings out creamy layer from the mixed bulk and teach you giving such wonderful life related examples to inspire you. He always motivated me to be active in research along with subject studies, join more conferences to interact people and to share knowledge along with the extra curriculum activities to balance the life.

Currently, he is working as Associate Professor, Department of Chemical Engineering, D. Y. Patil Institute of Engineering, Management & Research, Akurdi, Pune. He is not only an active academician, but also involved in various activities, such as photography, sketching etc. He is also active in regular voluntary blood donation and camps, which makes him different from rest of the world. I really wish him a bright future and happy life ahead."

"I was working under Dr. Utkarsh in a project during my Masters in BITS-Pilani. I got immense guidance and support from him throughout the project. I had learnt a lot from him. Not only in project, he gave advices on many difficult situations which I could carry away throughout my life. Though being a teacher, he does continuous learning to get updated which inspired me a lot. He remains to be a great motivator for the students and bring about the positivity in them. He continues to impress me with his knowledge, skills and dedication to his work. My first published research article was with him through which I learnt to write a research paper.

Apart from academics, he impresses everyone with his fantastic pictures taken through his lens. In his personal life, he also helps the society by organizing Blood donation camps at various places and had helped in saving many lives. I always wonder how can one person do these many things without losing the enthusiasm and interest. According to me, he is a passionate teacher, good friend, well-wisher, photographer, helper and a good human whom I can look upon at any time for any help or guidance."

"Dr. Maheshwari taught me an elective 'Environmental Pollution Control" in my Chemical Engineering course at BITS Pilani and was also my course instructor for a Study on Enhanced Oil Recovery Methods, which was published in the proceedings of AIChE Annual Meet, San Francisco, Nov 2016. Dr. Maheshwari was one of the most approachable faculties on campus and I find his inclination towards social causes like Blood Donation very inspiring. I'm delighted to have worked under Dr. Maheshwari and wish him the best for his future endeavors."

"I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to Dr. Utkarsh Maheshwari, Associate Professor at Department of Chemical Engineerinng, DY Patil Institute of Engineering, Management & Research, Akurdi and one of my mentors during my days as a student at DYPIEMR.

During my days as a student, Dr. Maheshwari was incumbent as the Head of Department, Chemical Engineering and also taught us the subjects of petroleum engineering, process dynamics & control and transport phenomena. Transport phenomena was believed to be a very dreadful subject but owing to his vast knowledge and rich academic experience, Dr.Maheshwari taught it to us in a very simple and lucid way. Although sir was much ahead of us students in terms of age, he was still young at heart and could easily switch into the mind-set of a college student. Thus even today he enjoys a good rapport with all his students. As I was appointed the Class Representative, I had frequent interactions with sir and I always found sir very approachable. Along with academics sir encouraged us students to conduct and participate in various co-curricular events. Dr. Maheshwari was also at the forefront in organizing various industrial visits and guest lectures at the department level. It is because of sir’s guidance and support that during my final year I could complete my engineering and also clear the Combined Defence Service’s exam in the first attempt.

Once again sir, I would like to thank you for your valuable guidance and support and the trust and belief you had in all your students."

I am really great full for Prof. Maheshwari as he being my mentor for my minor and major projects both. He is a excellent example and true futuristic professor that wants his student to excel and is always ready to undertake huge amount of efforts. He is a stickler for perfection and accuracy which truly helped me during my Masters degree. His concepts rules of thumbs that he has developed with virtue of his experience are still useful for me even after 3 years. I personally have asked a lot of doubts and he has explained them to me to my satisfaction. He also ensures that the answers are as accurate as possible. He cares a lot for his students and will always ask his students if they did not appear for tutorials. He is also the one who you can easily approach and talk on a range if issues. He always tries to give away sources of information and data and feedback on exams, articles, etc. He never cares for the exam results but always cares and emphasis on the transfer of information from all sources towards students so that the students put it to a good learning curve.

I have had a range of discussion over topics ranging from academics to Which camera lens is best and what modes are suitable and to my awe he has always been very informative. He has shared a thousand stories with me regarding his various experiences which has helped me to take further steps in my career. He is also not just academic but also a true socialist care taker towards common public and excellent photographer. I truly feel proud and honored that he was, is and always will be my Teacher and I am very much great full for learning not just academic but also photography and life lessons as well.
